Click this link to read and leave comments Last night Mister Bachelor went to sleep, and didnt wake up. The phone doesnt ring. I get only a few e-mails a day or so, mainly from The Chain Gang, spam, Wifey telling me she loves me, and a few other friends. The drama in my life is drama I observe in the drama filled lives of the children. What does that mean? Well, all the stuff that kept Mister Bachelor alive is gone. Mister Bachelor is well, dead. I woke up this morning, Daedalus. I wont bore you with a bunch of history. Daedalus is 41, good looking, fun, charming, smart and self employed for 13 years. I live in a tiny one room cottage in the country down the street from a big ranch. I am married to a hot chick who's wears a perfect size SIX. Did you hear that? Six. Yep. I did pretty good. I have been on the road for a month now, spreading the gospel of Model Driven Development and Software Factories to the masses. You know what? I got followers. Having followers is always a good thing, especially if they are paying a lot of money to have you around. In this economy, I consider it a blessing. Since I dont have to worry about who loves me and how am I going to not be alone on a particular day. I look at my biggest blessing which is my better half. Well, I have to get to work. Running a project in a place where everyone is armed and people's offices are decorated with dead bears, dead deer and dead pumas is not exactly as easy as it looks on paper. More on that another time. Daedalus">Follow me on Twitter There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Last week I lost my all powerful phone, my HTC Touch Pro, the most powerful phone ever created by man now or ever. Ok, I like my phone. Anyway I finally got a phone shipped to my hotel, during the week I was waiting for it to show up, I had my phone number disabled. I had my phone reactivated Saturday. I used to get calls from unknown numbers, usually it was the fake auto warranty calls. There were a few others I didnt recognize as well. I'm not guessing what or who they are. I don't care. However, turning my phone off for a week seems to have stopped all of them. Nice. Obi-Wife is stressing about the wedding. The first stressasode started with where we were going to do the meet and greet. The second was where we were going to go after the wedding. Now, my first inclination was to go and hide somewhere for a few days to rest and then get back to work. We are going to have two receptions, after the wedding in different cities and a real honeymoon sometime later. The problem is, the nearest place to hide is 200 miles away. Now, I don't care about driving that long, as long as I don't do it alone. It gets boring and any trip that takes longer than the entirety of the Howard Stern Show (about five hours on some days) is too long. We resolved everything and we are going to take the road-trip to the coast anyway. I'm cool with it. More stressasodes to come. Daedalus rolls his beautiful brown eyes. Posted: Monday, May 18, 2009 3 Hours 24 Minutes 45 Seconds Post Meridian There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments To all Latino's: Its time to mobilize! Its time to get equal rights. Its time to get a quality bilingual education! Its time to get access to universal healthcare! Its time to get the citizenship for the hard work you have done! Because of the fact that Latinos are perceived (and its true in California) as taking a lot more than they bring in, the resistance to their movement in the United States is getting more difficult. " There is a solution for Latino's in America: Its called nothing less than Revolution and Change! Its time to mass together and march on the capital! Are you with me? Of course you are! Here is how you do it. For a long time Latinos have been, marching and protesting the United States and how unfair the United States is to people who are immigrants (or break the law) why not protest the Mexican government, local, provincial and national (and the rest of Latin American governments) to rid them of the corruption that has plagued those countries as far back as I can remember. Its time to stop demanding changes in the laws of the United States to accommodate, educate, provide healthcare and in some cases provide for them at taxpayer expense. Instead its time to protest the real villans here: Latin American countries. The countries who's flags Latinos proudly display in their homes and busineses. If Latinos want a socialist government who will provide for their needs, why not vote for this change in the Latin American countries they come from. I mean, they are citizens of those counties so naturally it would be incumbent on them to vote. " I keep hearing this foolishness about how unfair we are to non-citizens in the United States. You should see how Americans get treated in certain Latin countries should they run afoul of the local constabulary. They get treated much better here. Meanwhile, there are many Latinos who came here for a better life who are applying for citizenship the right way and many are getting it. These people, who are actually entitled to rights (Imagine THAT!) get lumped in with the illegals and unfairly criticized right along with them. Now there is something that really is unfair. " Its time to start enforcing the laws in this country regarding non-citizens. Because they are breaking the law by being here, by law they don't have a lot of rights that we assign to them. Because the liberals who are accommodating them are also breaking the law, perhaps they should be imprisoned right along with them. And why is it not a great idea to put military bases along the border? It is our country sooooo why is that a bad idea to put our troops on our side of the border? Mexico exercises its sovereignty whenever it feels like it and if you disagree, you will be called racist and ignorant. To all Latino's you are correct. Its time for a revolution. Its time for change. Its time for you to bring it about! However, you should do this in the country of your birth. Good Luck with that, and goodbye. There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Its Friday, its been a long week so, I am leaving a few random thoughts... I realized today that my client, who caters to sportsman, is armed to the teeth. Everyone who works there has a gun and has killed before. One person in my immediate vacinity has a dead bear, a dead dear on his wall and a dead cat skin hanging on a hook. I suppose I had better do a good job. I am also getting ready ready to go to Las Vegas and then on to California for Chelsea Quirks graduation. More than that I am looking foreward to the beach and to getting some booty. I haven't had sex in a month. I am also working some new essays. I have been out of the political fray for quite a while now but its time that I get back in. Now that writing about screwing is something I don't have to do anymore, (because I am not screwing anyone 1000 miles from home being the #1 reason) I have time to write about other things. I woke up this morning realizing that Obi-Wife is my common law wife. That is a startling revelation to say the least. Even though I exercise six days a week and my diet is nowadays only 20% crap I feel like something is really wrong with me. I need to see a doctor the next time I fly home. Maybe I just need to detox. To all black women: Remember, men are not intimidated by your success. They dont want to deal with what your success has done to you. Have a great weekend! Posted: Tuesday, May 26, 2009 11 Hours 18 Minutes 42 Seconds Ante Meridian There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments So we have Sotomayor as a Supreme Court nominee. Let me put this in as few words as possible. If Sotomayor were just a liberal like Souter, I would chalk it up Barack Obama and the Democrats getting what they want and leave it at that. This is a lot more serious. Sotomayor is a judicial activist. The constitution defines the role of the court and what its supposed to do. Activism or anything like it is nowhere to be found. Here is some friendly advice: Minorities: If the Constitution is so bad, amend it. It has been done already to the benefit of minorities in the past. If its necessary it will again. Latinos: As I have said before, your protesting would be more productive in the countries who's flags fly in the houses you inhabit, and the businesses you frequent. I would hope that they Bork the shit out of her. But I would not wish that kind of unfair treatment on anyone. So instead I will simply hope that her nomination gets withdrawn and that he will find a suitable replacement. Picking a minority for the hell of it doesn't feed a single child or prevent a single crime. There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments Over the weekend I attended yet another graduation in San Diego.
Hey, works for me. I wonder aloud though, why is it that any time I go to a graduation, the child's name is always called last? There were "Lacreesha Takama Jenkins" And then they called Chelsea Quirk. Her name was the only name that didnt require an interpreter to understan. Ok, I am exaggerating and being an asshole here. But you get my drift. Anyway after that we were off to the beach for some much needed R+R Obi-Wife pops out with a relatively skimpy swimsuit to go with her smaller figure. I also notice how she turns sideways in the mirror as well. This is cracking me up. Soon she will be as vein as I am! There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave commentsThings I Simply Dont Have To Worry About Posted: Wednesday, May 27, 2009 31 Minutes 59 Seconds Post Meridian There are no comments for this entry. Click this link to read and leave comments In these times I have plenty to worry about. A general decline in business is one of them. Top feeders in my profession basically have gotten creamed. While its still not as bad as it was in 2001, its certainly bad enough. There are however a few things I dont have to worry about. One of the biggest things I dont have to worry about is wondering whether or not the woman I am with actually does love me or, if I am being deceived like I have been in the past, or worse yet, she is deceiving herself first and then me. With Obi-Wife, I have no doubts about any of it. For that I am thankful. With that in mind, I get to worry about other things like finding projects, keeping my people happy and busy and paying bills. That fact also keeps me from even thinking about straying. Temptation is always around and if you aren't looking for it, temptation comes to find you. I just ignore it. Its not worth the foolishness and drama. Men who are taken usually end up being even more attractive than their un-hitched brethren because they are self-confident, calm and they ignore you. And you know how women hate to be ignored by someone they are attracted to. There is also what I call the "piece dividend". In general it means that because I am not dating I save a ton of dough because dating is expensive, at least it is for men anyway. That is also a blessing. To sum it up, knowing who loves you and that its real and not contrived is a tremendous burden that has been lifted from my shoulders. I get reminded daily how blessed I am to have Obi-Wife in my life. And for that, I am make sure she can also have faith in me. Are you worried about who loves you and who does not? If you are worried about it, and not generally insecure, its time to go. I did and its the best thing I have done for myself in years. There are no comments for this entry.
